September and October will be busy months for us as we continue to have a presence at the Madison County Farmer’s Market, leading up to Covered Bridge Festival. Read on for information about important dates on the horizon.
Madison County Farmer’s Market
The Madison County Democrats are now hosting a farmer’s market booth on the Winterset square every Saturday morning from 8am to noon, through October 5th. At least two volunteers are needed for each date, simply to visit with people and sell our blue bandanas. Setup and tear-down are provided by Sarah Reed. September 12: Debate Watch Party
The third debate is scheduled for one night only, September 12th. At this time we have not heard a start time for the debate, but we will meet one hour prior to the start time at the Sports Page Restaurant in Winterset. Attendees are welcome to order dinner off the menu and then stay for the debate.
September 26: Monthly Meeting
The September meeting of the Madison County Democrats Central Committee will be held on September 26 at 6:30 pm at the Sports Page Restaurant in Winterset (back room). Please feel free to arrive by 5:30 to order off the menu and eat as a group. The meeting will begin at 6:30 and will aim to be done by 8:00.
October 12-13: Covered Bridge Festival
The Madison County Democrats will have a booth at the annual Covered Bridge Festival on October 12-13, 9am to 5pm both days. Elizabeth H. is designing our booth and will assist with the setup and tear-down. We are in need of volunteers to simply work in the booth greeting people and selling bandanas. We may also offer a mobile charging station, similar to what we did at the Madison County Fair. If you are able to take a shift, please click this link and add your name. We will also be marching in the parade on October 12th. Watch for more details about that coming soon.
October 24: Monthly Meeting
