There’s a lot happening in the next few days!
July 29: Sweet Corn Feed
Robert Bell is planning to host his annual Sweet Corn Feed for Madison County Democrats on Monday, July 29 at 6:00 pm. This will be held at his home, 1843 Warren Ave in Prole (north of Bevington on the county line). In addition to his delicious sweet corn we’ll have pork sandwiches, sides and desserts. There will be a sign-up on Thursday night for bringing items, followed by an online sign-up if items are still needed. Everyone is welcome! Please indicate “Going” on the Facebook event if you plan to attend, to help with the head count for food. Thank you, Robert!
July 30: Debate Watch Party
The next debates are scheduled for July 30 and 31 at 7:00 pm. At this time we are planning to hold a Debate Watch Party at the Sports Page in Winterset, back room, starting at 6:00 pm on July 30th. You can order dinner and stay for the debate just like last time.
July 31: Debate Watch Party (2nd Night)
The second night Debate Watch Party will be held at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Winterset. Bring potluck snacks to share starting at 6:00 pm, and arrive by 6:30 pm if you’d like to chip in on a pizza order. We’ll watch the debate from 7:00 to 9:00.
There are lots of other candidate visits happening soon. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page.
Thank you to all who helped make our presence at the County Fair and RAGBRAI a success!
